NOTE: THIS IS A TWO DAY CLASS. YOU NEED TO REGISTER FOR BOTH MONDAY AND WEDNESDAY AS SEPARATE CLASSES. THE CLASS MEETS AT SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT TIMES ON MONDAYS THAN ON WEDNESDAYS. / /

/ /It is imperative that any student registering for Geometry be proficient in their Algebra 1 skills. If you have questions about class placement, please contact me as early as possible so that decisions may be made in a timely manner to allow the student maximum success in their math studies. / /

/ /We will study the branch of mathematics dealing with points, lines, planes, and solids, and examine their properties, measurement, and mutual relation in space. We will also do geometric proofs and constructions which are great tools to teach logical reasoning and develop thinking skills. Students will learn applications of Geometry through word problems and pictures. / /

/ /The class will include appropriate content and skills essential for standardized tests. Students will be taught study skills to help them become more independent in their learning. / /

/ /If you wish to pay for the entire year in one payment, it would be discounted $40 for a payment of $500. If a student drops the class after October 1, there will be a withdrawal fee of three months' tuition. Registration fees are non-refundable. / /Homework will take approximately 1 hour per day. This class will earn the student 1 high school honors credit in math. The class meets 1 1/2 hours twice a week, for a total of 3 hours per week. / / / /
