NOTE: THIS IS A TWO DAY CLASS. YOU NEED TO REGISTER FOR BOTH MONDAY AND WEDNESDAY AS SEPARATE CLASSES. THE CLASS MEETS AT SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT TIMES ON MONDAYS THAN ON WEDNESDAYS. / /

/ /It is imperative that any student registering for Algebra 2 be proficient in their Algebra 1 skills. If you have questions about class placement, please contact me as early as possible so that decisions may be made in a timely manner to allow the student maximum success in their math studies. / /

/ /Students will study how different branches of mathematics such as geometry and statistics are related and will extend their study of Algebra 1 topics. They will also learn how algebra skills are used in real-life applications including construction, engineering, filmmaking, and sports competitions. We will explore probability and statistics, matrices, logarithms, conic sections, sequences and series, quadratic expressions and equations, and trigonometry. / /

/ /The class will include appropriate content and skills essential for standardized tests. Students will be taught study skills to help them become more independent in their learning.

/ / / /If you wish to pay for the entire year in one payment, it would be discounted $40 for a payment of $500. If a student drops the class after October, there will be a withdrawal fee of three months' tuition. Registration fees are non-refundable. / /

/ /Homework will take approximately 1 hour per day. This class will earn the student 1 high school honors credit in math. The class meets 1 1/2 hours twice a week, for a total of 3 hours per week.
