/ /This grammar-stage class is a gentle introduction to the Latin language and the Classical World. Students will learn five Latin vocabulary words weekly along with one line of a Latin prayer which culminates in a full prayer every five weeks or so. We will also study English grammar through the use of manipulatives & color, Roman history, and Greek myths through story books. There will be craft/art projects sprinkled throughout the school year. Each area of study is undergirded by the veracity of Scripture; our weekly discussions will include these truths. / /

This is so, because, like Latin and Greek, artists, writers, musicians, and scientists have mined it extensively for two millenia. / / / /The Greeks had the good sense to create their gods in the image of man, and as so, they carried many human qualities as well as a detest for such evils as human sacrifice which are found in other cultures? stories. One won?t find ghosts and ghouls in Greek mythology; one will find symbols and metaphors for human attributes and ideals. The culture that created gods in the image of man prepared the way for the God who created man in His own image. / /
