/ /This class is for those students having completed Latin II. This will be a full year?s foreign language study earning students 1 full high school credit. We will use Henle?s Second Year Latin as our study text, while supplementing our reading with 38 Latin Stories. Although designed for Wheelock?s, 38 Latin Stories fits well with our program as its readings are graduated by assumed grammar. Henle presents intensive practice utilizing previously learned grammar while teaching the final, indispensable constructions one must know to graduate to reading unabridged classical authors. Students should be prepared for considerable reading this year as we work our way through Caesar?s Conquest of Gaul and other materials supplied by the teacher. / /

/ /There will be at least one special project this year involving composition. Students will again be encouraged to sit for the CLE and NLE exams. Famous men in Roman history will be studied in greater depth as time allows. / /
