Class meets for 1 1/2 hours once a week. This is the perfect bridge for students who have never taken Spanish or who are not quite ready for a high school level Spanish course. Unlike the elementary course, this course will focus on both vocabulary and basic grammar. With these grammar skills, the students will begin to converse and express themselves in writing. Listening exercises will also be a part of this course. Students will also be introduced to the Spanish speaking world and their customs. / / / /Students taking this course will have a strong advantage in high school Spanish. / / / /Homework time is 30 minutes a day. Your student will be tested when each unit is completed. Homework is worth 20%, vocabulary quizzes are worth 40%, and unit tests are worth 40%. Parents must attend a mandatory orientation. Report cards will be given out every 8 weeks. / / / /Textbook rental fee is $20. Workbook cost is $15. Please pay these fees 2 weeks before class begins. Withdrawal fee after October 1 is two months' tuition.
