High School Latin 2 is the continuation of Henle's Latin text. Students will earn 1.0 high school foreign language credit for completion of this course.

/ /Our method of study will include class time once each week for 90 minutes as well as an online component. During class, students will receive instruction on new concepts, including grammar, vocabulary, rules, terminology, etc. At home students will collaborate on an online wiki that puts these concepts together in an organized manner. There is also a quia website where students can practice their Latin and complete part of their homework. The wiki is password protected and only students (and parents) will have access to it. Students are unable to edit the quia site, so no password is necessary.

/ /I am excited to put forward a diverse approach to schooling. I believe this will lend more autonomy and worth to the student's area of study. By contributing in a very direct way to a collaborative project, students take ownership of what they are learning and develop enthusiasm for it.

/ /Of course, all high school Latin students will have the opportunity to take the National Latin Exam again in the spring of 2009.
