Explore the Universe that God created and investigate how it all works perfectly together to create the world we live in. This course moves the student from the lithosphere of the earth itself, to the hydrosphere in and on the earth, to the atmosphere surrounding the earth, and finally out into space visiting the solar system and the rest of the universe. All of this is a quest to understand God’s created world.

  • Research skills - A guided research paper is the spring project.

  • Study skills - by exploring how the student learns best and by reinforcing the information in a variety of ways.

  • Note taking skills - worksheets become more interactive and students learn to record important notes from the lecture.

  • Public speaking/oral reporting skills - the students share their researched information when they do a formal presentation with their research paper.

*Parents provide the textbooks for their students. Texts used are the 8th Grade, Bob Jones, 5th Edition Earth Science and 5th Edition, Earth Science Lab Manual. Only student texts are to be purchased.

*The Laboratory Fee and Mrs. Davis’s science form are due before the student’s place will be held in the class. The

Lab Fee is non-refundable after August 1st. $80 lab fee, Tuition $550/year or 10 monthly payments of $55.

*Class meets 2 hours once weekly. NW Campus: Monday 2:00-4:00, West Campus: Tuesday 2:00-4:00.
