Students must have successfully completed an Algebra I course before enrolling in this class. We will study the branch of mathematics dealing with points, lines, planes, and solids, and examine their properties, measurements, and mutual relations in space. / /

 Geometric proofs and coordinate geometry, both of which promote logic and thinking skills, will also be used to learn this material. Much of the material in this course will be found on the math portion of the SAT and the ACT.

Students must supply their own compass, protractor, ruler, and scientific calculator. If you prefer a graphing calculator, I would recommend a TI 84 as it works well for future math classes, including SAT/ACT testing and college classes. This is not required for Geometry, though.

 Students will be expected to take detailed notes during classes and to complete daily homework assignments using their notes and textbook for reference.

 Please note that the yearly tuition of $700 covers both classes per week and may be paid in seven installments ($100 plus $30 supply fee to reserve your spot in the class and $100 per month Sept – Feb).

 Students should expect to spend as much time outside of class on their work as they do attending class per week (3 ½ hours). This class will earn the student 1 high school honors credit in math.
