The goal of High School (Grades 9-12) speech class, like all speech levels is to give students the opportunity to experience the power of speech, its power to persuade, convert and compel as Emerson so eloquently states.

/ / To that end the students will have planned and/or unplanned speaking opportunities every time we meet.
/ /
/ / The speech types and lengths will vary by grade level and include: dramatic readings, storytelling, biographical, persuasive, expository, demonstration, impromptu, radio theater, improvisational, job interviews and personal introductions to name a few.

/ / Through these public speaking classes, I hope to encourage students to overcome their fears as they build confidence in their ability to persuade, convert and compel with speech!

/ / High School Speech Grades 9-12

/ / High school Speech offers 9-10 formal speaking opportunities per year.
