/
/
/
/ In the fall semester American Government course, we begin discussing economic situations and viable solutions, then in the spring semester Foundations in Personal Finance and Economics course, we look at Economics on the whole and how it affects us on a personal and financial level.
/
/
/
/ On a practical level this course teaches saving, budgeting, debt, investing, and insurance, while studying world and national economics topics such as free trade, markets, capitalism vs. socialism and communism, interest rates, the minimum wage, monopolies, bail outs, inflation and much more.
/
/
/
/ The emphasis of this course will be on both the responsibility and the blessing of financial freedom in a capitalist economy.
/
/
/
/ A variety of teaching tools will be used including, but not limited to, class discussions, group and individual financial projects, Bible-based research, writing, budgeting, current events, critical thinking opportunities and tests.
