Students should have successfully completed a 7th grade math curriculum prior to taking Pre-Algebra. (This would be at least Math 7/6 for Saxon). / /

/ /We will study the basic operation skills (+, -, x, /) with integers, fractions, decimals and percents, which make up the core operations for higher mathematics. We will also learn simple equation solving skills. If time allows, we will touch on a few other areas as well. Pre-Algebra covers important math skills that prepare the way for a successful transition to Algebra I as well as beginning high school science courses. / /

/ /Please note that there is a two month drop fee after the first month. For returned checks, you will be charged whatever my bank charges me for the first occurrence. Additional returned checks will be charged the bank amount plus $15. / /

/ /TEXTBOOK: Bob Jones Pre-Algebra. Also, I am considering having students purchase either a test booklet or a practice workbook to supplement this class. If I find what I am looking for, I will purchase the books and add the cost on to the supply fee. This cost will be kept to $20 or less, and you would be notified of the cost should I decide to do this. / / / /
