Students must have completed an Algebra 1 course successfully to enroll in Geometry. We will study the branch of mathematics dealing with points, lines, planes, and solids, and examine their properties, measurement, and mutual relation in space. We will also do geometric proofs, which are a great tool to teach thinking skills!

/ /TEXTBOOK and Materials: Glencoe Geometry, own compass, protractor, and ruler. They should also have access to a scientific calculator, although this is not mandatory. Calculators are especially helpful for those students who are weak in basic math facts.

/ /Students will be expected to take detailed notes during classes and to complete daily homework assignments using their notes and textbooks for reference. Parents will be asked to supervise some testing at home to allow the best use of classroom teaching time. Both parents and students will be asked to sign a code of honor. Please note that there is a two month drop fee after the first month.
