Spanish 1 is a high school honors class in Spanish. It will meet just once a week on Mondays. In this course students will engage in converstaion, provide and obtain information and express feelings and emotion and exchange opinions. They will understand and interpret written and spoken language on a variety of topics as well as demonstrate an understanding of the relationship between the practices and perspectives of the Spanish Speaking World.

/ /There is no prerequisite for this course (Student must be 8th grade age). In planning your year please know that this course will require about 1-hour of homework/5-days a week.

/ /Textbooks: Sra. Cooper will send out the ISBN for the textbook and each family is responsible to order the book in time for the first day of class. Expect to spend approximately $20 for the book. In addition to the book, you will need to send Sra. Cooper $15 for a workbook.

/ /NOTE: Plans are to offer Spanish 1 every other year at each campus. IF the minimum number of students is not met for 2008-2009, it will be cancelled by the end of July and not offered again at this campus until 2010-2011.
