Chemistry requires Algebra 2 to be taken / /concurrently or previously for the student?s success in stoichiometric / /calculations.
/ /
/
/ We will begin our study of chemistry with the characteristics of the atom and
/
/continue through the orderly, extremely systematic study of the elements,
/
/solids, solutions and gases, bonding, reactions, chemical equilibrium,
/
/acids-bases and oxidation-reduction reactions. The course includes inorganic, analytic

/ /
? Each scheduled Monday, students will log into and watch the recorded / /lecture that includes sample problems and questions.
/ /? Homework is done outside of class and discussed during the class / /discussion time.
/ /? Labs will be virtual: The student watches the recorded lab and completes / /and uploads the provided laboratory exercise outside of class.
/ /? Class discussion is each scheduled Thursday at 1:00-1:55 CST. Review of questions and problems as well as / /help with specific student questions are the focus of class discussion time.
/ /? Testing is done outside of class using Canvas online testing.
/ /? Grades are 50% test scores and 50% lab scores. One test and one lab will / /be dropped each semester.
/ /? Bob Jones University Press, Chemistry , 4th Edition. Labs will be done virtually so Mrs. Snow will provide the lab sheets.
